BEAUTIFUL PUERTO RICO NEEDS YOUR HELP (AGAIN)

Five years ago Puerto Rico was hit hard by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. In early 2020 it was shaken hard by a series of powerful earthquakes. Now a Hurricane Fiona has once again caused an island-wide blackout, leaving people not just in the dark (in extreme heat) but also without clean running water.

It will take a large team to rebuild and recover, once again.

Together Puerto Rico is a 501(c)(3) organization staffed only by a team of dedicated volunteers, with zero overhead. We have community partners we work with to promote sustainability and make the most of donated resources. We mainly distribute water filters and solar lanterns for disaster relief but we also connect volunteers and donors to other community-based organizations.

We are NOT affiliated with any government entities.

Our Mission: To provide disaster relief in Puerto Rico via solar lights and water filters, promote sustainability and improve communications between NGOs and volunteers.

We connect Puerto Ricans affected by disasters to the resources they need. We work to connect people who need help with people who can provide help.

We work to promote sustainability and economic stability – instead of wasting money on batteries/flashlights and using plastic water bottles, we promote water filters and solar lights and solar panels to stay charged.
